Sealing Measures for Raising Axial Clearance of Melt Gear Pump

  During the long-term use of the melt gear pump, leakage will occur, which seriously affects its production operation. For the leakage of the melt gear pump, it mainly exists in the leakage of the axial clearance. How to effectively reduce the leakage of the axial clearance of the gear pump is the primary premise to ensure the efficient production and operation of the melt gear pump.   1. Floating sleeve can be used to reduce the axial clearance of melt pump. To reduce the internal leakage, it is necessary to ensure the reasonable axial clearance of the melt gear pump. The structure sketch of the floating axle sleeve is shown in Fig. 1. Under the action of spring force, the right end of the floating axle sleeve can be closely attached to the end face of the gear to reduce the axial clearance and thus reduce the axial leakage. Another advantage of the structure is that it can automatically compensate the axial clearance and prolong the service life of the pump.

  2. Hydraulic compensation structure is adopted to reduce the axial clearance of melt pump. The structure is shown in Figure 2. Figure 1 is a side plate. The inner side of the side plate is covered with 0.7-0.8mn, thick phosphorus bronze, and phosphorus has a relatively small wipe coefficient. Outside the side plate is the end face, and the end face is milling the sealing groove. The sealing groove is embedded with a bow-shaped sealing ring 5, which is located just on the side of the oil pressure zone of the melt gear pump. Because the thickness of the side plate is about 0.2 mm smaller than that of the gasket plate 2 of the outer ring. Therefore, a sealing space is formed between the side plate and the end cover in the bow seal ring. In addition, the sealing space is separated from the oil pressure channel. There are two small holes on the side plate. The orifice is connected with the pressure area of the pump. Therefore, the bow seal ring is filled with oil with a certain pressure. Under the action of pressure oil, the deformed side plate is close to the end face of the gear, and there is only one oil film between the side plate and the end face of the gear. The axial clearance is greatly reduced. If the end face and the side plate of the gear are worn, the side plate can be compensated automatically.
