PVC and other materials can be used for vacuum forming
Vacuum forming is widely used in the production of calcium-plastic ceiling decorative materials, washing machine and refrigerator shells, motor shells, artworks and daily necessities. Vacuum forming is often called plastic absorption, is a plastic processing technology, the main principle is the flat plastic sheet after heating and softening, using vacuum adsorption on the mold surface, cooling after molding, widely used in plastic packaging, lighting, advertising, decoration and other industries.
Plastics suitable for vacuum molding are polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and its copolymers, polyolefins, polystyrene and modified polystyrene, abs, polyacrylate, cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate butyrate, vinyl acetate copolymer, etc., but difficult to vacuum molding are polysulfone, polycarbonate, polyamide and so on.
Soft PVC has the characteristics of low cost, good flexibility and rapid molding speed, and can be used to make various shapes of toys. Cellulose acetate plastic has the characteristics of high strength, rich color, beautiful, transparent, vacuum coating, moderate molding speed, and can be used to produce sheets, billboards and signs and other products. Propylene has the characteristics of high transparency, high strength and slow molding speed, and is widely used in lighting appliances, packaging containers and various billboards; polystyrene has good transparency, good heat resistance, moderate molding speed, can be used to make small packaging containers, stationery boxes and various lighting appliances.
